Irreversible chronic generalized airway obstruction associated with varying
degrees of chronic bronchitis, abnormalities in small airways, and poor
or absence of the normal elasticity of the alveoli ( small air bags),in
the lungs. Emphysema occurs when chronic bronchitis is left untreated for
a prolonged time along with continued chronic irritation of the lung tissue
by various toxic irritants accompanied by continuous secretion of mucus
and structural alteration.
Since
emphysema is a chronic advanced stage of secondary infection , and usually
large amount of tissue damage is involved, complete reversal of the condition
is unlikely through NAET®. Symptomatic relief can be achieved through NTT
and NAET®.
