An
allergy is an unusual or exaggerated response of certain individual towards
substances normally harmless to others. An allergic reaction is simply an
improper response of the immune system to an otherwise harmless substance
such as foods, vitamins, medications, pollen, flowers, weeds, grasses, trees,
dust, formaldehyde, plastics, metals, cats, dogs, fabrics, chemicals, heat,
cold, etc. An allergic person can react to any substance around him and
produce any usual or unusual health problems involving any and every parts
and organs of the body or it can impair any functions of the body.
Symptoms
of allergy vary from person to person. It depends upon many factors such
as the status of the immune system , degree of involvement of the organs,
systems, age, and degree of inheritance. An allergy is a hereditary condition.
An allergic predisposition is inherited but may not be manifested until
some later date. Some of the commonly seen reactions are commonly seen
respiratory disorders such as asthma, bronchitis, influenza, etc., skin
problems such as eczema, hives, psoriasis, etc., digestive disorders such
as nausea, acidity, bloating, constipation, indigestion, etc., neurological
disorders such as headaches, weakness of the muscles, mental deficiencies
imbalances, circulatory disorders such as high cholesterol, heart irregularities,
high blood pressure, etc., joint disorders such as arthritis, back aches,
neck pains, etc., and genito-urinary disorders such as frequent bladder
infections, infertility, yeast infections, etc.
There are
many types of allergy tests available. Allergies can be tested by NTT
(Nambudripad’s testing techniques), and treated very effectively with
non-invasive holistic approach known as NAET®(Nambudripad’s Allergy Elimination
techniques).
